Odată cu încheierea celei de-a 71-a gale a Academiei Britanice de Filme și a ceremoniei de decernare a premiilor, putem spune că sezonul de premii pentru anul 2019 se apropie de final, mai existând un singur hop, pe data de 9 februarie, și anume mult așteptatele premii Oscar. Așa cum era de așteptat, 1917, un film înțesat cu actori britanici, de fapt cel mai britanic film de pe lista nominalizărilor, a dominat această ediție a premiilor BAFTA, lucru care îl face să viseze frumos pentru Oscaruri. Dacă la actori și actrițe nu a fost nici o surpriză, cei care au dominat întreg sezonul de premii câștigând detașat și aici, iată că au fost și niște surprize, Jojo Rabbit pentru scenariu adaptat și Parasite pentru scenariu original au luat fața favoriților Little Women și Once Upon a Time.
